Why I stayed up until 4a.m. to finish this dress..........

Post by jodibelle352 »

Hi All!

As most know, I stayed up several hours past my bedtime and worked non-stop to do a dress for my oldest Grand-daughter as she was going to Fort Worth, Texas for a wedding. I promised to post some photo's once I received them so here they are.

The wedding was for Erica's fiance's Mother. It was held at a Ren. Faire in Fort Worth somewhere. So all the dresses were for Ren. times and everyone was dressed accordingly. Hope you enjoy the photo's and like the results of my efforts.

They had a GREAT TIME and there were many many photo's, but only chose a few to share. It sure looked like it would have been something to experience. To go back in time and celebrate like they did.

I worked very hard on Erica's dress and thought it turned out pretty good for the time I had to do it in. Felt very relieved to know that Ty's mother had already purchased his wardrobe for the wedding because he would have shown up nude if I would have had to do his also. LOL

Love Ya All!

It looks like Ericka was happy to be wearing it and had a good time. The dress looks pretty complicated..you did a good job on it.

Jodi,

The making of that dress had to be quite a challenge but it ended up being absolutely beautiful. Erica had to have been very appreciative of your efforts. I wish I knew how to sew like you do! I don't even mend things very well :) I enjoyed your pictures of the wedding and it looks like everyone was having a wonderful time.

We went to an annual fall Renaissance Fair in Minnesota a couple of years ago and it was a lot of fun. What a great place to stage a wedding!

Whoa, that is so cool Jodi,

I got to wear a similar style dress recently, and saw up close how intricate all the bodice panelling and so on is. You must be one good dressmaker!!

Not to mention a great gran to do that on such short notice.

Well done.
