Here's an article about a research project where researchers have discovered that folic acid supplementation during pregnancy can cause alterations to certain genes in their offspring, but even though they were unable to pinpoint the nature of the result of those changes, they chose to suggest that these changes could have dire consequences, (even though the odds are the same, that those changes could be beneficial).
