I found a new breakfast cereal!

Post by Becky »

Maybe you all know about it but I'm so happy!
I've missed my oatmeal with blueberries (oatmeal is a no-no for me, for sure!) I've tried some of the other options - buckwheat, quinoa, etc. They really didn't do much for me. I saw Bob's Red Mill had one called "Mighty Tasty Hot Cereal" It's gf, ingredients: brown rice, corn, white sorghum and buckwheat. I don't know if it's new or I've just overlooked at but with some cinnamon and blueberries, it's very yummy. Try it out!

Thank You Becky!

I come from a very small town and our local grocery store has a few Bob's Red Mill items and I'm going to check them out more closely next time I shop. I to loved having oatmeal and am unable to have it anymore and I miss having my hot cereal.

Love and God Bless:
Jodi

Becky,

I think I've seen that one before, but I was afraid to try it, because of the sorghum, (when I was recovering, I had problems with a cookie mix that contained sorghum flour). If you can eat it though, probably most of us wouldn't have a problem with it.

Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for the info, Becky! I, too, miss my oatmeal. I've been eating Erewhon Brown Rice Cereal this winter. The only ingredient is rice, and the fiber content is low, despite the name. I eat it with a little maple syrup.

Hi Courtney,
For more Fiber, I add a scoop of milled flax. (1 scoop has 4g) I also make a breakfast drink out if it (flax), frozen blueberries and rice milk. I'll have to look for the cereal you have!

Becky,

Here's a link to a picture of it, so you know what you're looking for. Lundberg also makes one, which I don't like as well, but the benefit of it is that you can make it in the microwave and the Erewhon has to be done on the stovetop.
