On May 5th--my son Doug celebrated his birthday-----before I could call him he
called me to say **THANK YOU** and I assumed it was for the card--but this is what he was thanking me for---

Mom--I wanna thank U for giving birth to me 46 years ago!!!!

Now I was at a loss for words---and then I said-----Doug U have been my joy for 46 years--

Tell U with all his ailments--- he still has a zest for life--

What a wonderful way to remember Mother's Day. Your response was just as touching as his gratitude. It sounds like you have a loving relationship.

That is so touching! Sounds like you are very close. That sounds like the best mother's day present ever! I want a really close relationship with my daughter. Hubby said what he wants for father's day is DD's smile  .

Barb what your son did is so very special and so very important for us Mother's to hear from our sons.

Sometimes Mother's complain that their son's forgot my birthday or forgot that today is Mother's Day.

Both of us have truly been blessed with very caring sons. My son William even though he had to work yesterday remembered to call me during his break just to let me know he loved me and wished me a Happy Mother's Day.

Some how we did something right over the years to have them remember such important dates and acknowledge them and make us shed a tear, yet smile because we feel so loved. Those calls mean more than receiving and expensive gift and it's a gift that will forever remain in our hearts.

Love and God Bless:
Jodi
