Turmeric, Blood Vessels, and Fat

Post by tex »

Hi All,

It seems that, according to this research project, turmeric in the diet can reduce the formation of new blood vessels, thus limiting the addition of fat to the body, (in addition to lowering blood glucose, triglyceride, fatty acid, cholesterol and liver fat levels).

This wasn't mentioned in the article, but I would think that it might also be effective in suppressing tumor development, since the creation of new blood vessels is one of the key requirements for tumor growth.

 I ought to be eating that by the spoonful!! HaHa
Actually, I'm not gaining but have reached a "plateau" that I can't seem to get below.

It might also help Wet Macular Degeneration since that involves excess blood vessels also.
