Happy Birthday To Us - This Board Is Four Years Old, Today
Hi All,
Exactly four years ago, on this day, at 10 am, this board was officially opened. We now have 357 members, and almost 62,000 posts. In those four years, we've seen good times, bad times, and almost everything in between, but I have to say that those years have flown by too quickly. I'm truly grateful to everyone who shares their experiences and their support, here, and I'm thankful for all the wonderful friendships that we've shared, and everything that we're learned here, together.
We have a very good success rate, but of course, my main hope for the future, is that those members who are still not where they want to be, in their recovery, will arrive there soon. Dealing with microscopic colitis, and all the other issues that seem to go along with it, is a never-ending job. Even after we're in remission, we still have to be constantly vigilant, about our treatment, but at least it becomes easier, as we learn more and more about it.
Here's hoping that the job will become much easier in the future, as the medical professionals continue to learn about it, and hopefully, much more research will be devoted to it.
Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Happy Birthday Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know in my heart that I never would or could have dealt with my CC on my own. I have grown in so many ways and yet I have so much more I need to learn. At times I shudder to think where I would have been if I had not stumbled across this site without the help of Gloria coming to find me and she had no idea she was looking for me she just kept checking on the old site for straglers. LOL Am I in remission......No. But emotionally, physically and medically I'm doing much better. I was truly having a very rough time accepting my dx's. And had lost so much weight that if I had not finally regained some selfesteem and confidence to fight back I would have found myself lying in a heap at the bottom of a very black hole.
God sent Gloria to me as well as Tex, Barb, Dee, Joan, Gran, Angy, Maggie, Rose and OMG the list gets longer and longer. I see each and everyone here as Special Angels with only 1 wing, in order for each of us to fly successfully we need to hold on to each other to beable to soar, glide and fly like the angels.
LOVE AND GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jodi
May God and All His Angels, watchover, protect and guide you "One Day At A Time".
Happy Birthday Board
I know that I have only been a member since January, but I feel like I have known everyone for so long. I am so grateful to have found this family (and you really are a family). Tex and the PP are just remarkable and I know that you have personally help me in so many ways with thoughts and support. I was in such despair before I found this board and now, even though I am in no way near remission, I feel so much better mentally.
Keep up the great work.
God Bless you all.
Love and Hugs,
Rose

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOARD!!!
I don't know where I would be without this board. I'm still grateful that so many veteran members continue to "stick around" and help those of us who continue to struggle. Your dedication to helping others is truly amazing - I'll always be grateful to you.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
Ditto to all the kind words others have posted about the board. I will be eternally grateful for finding this place of hope, knowledge, and understanding. I know that if I had not found this board I would be completely lost in dealing with this disease. You all mean so much.
Love,
Courtney

I can't add much, to the praise and thanks to Tex and all of the members of this board, that has not already been expressed in these posts. Its rare to find a group of people willing to give so much of their time and emotional support to help others. I would still be spending half my day on the potty if it weren't for this board. Thankyou all.

Tex and everyone here - you are the BEST!
Coming from the old board to here was such a wonderful thing. We go through a lot together but without each of us we would just be a broken chain with a missing link.
Love you all, Maggie
