information about the CM, just say we have problems with the colon, but I also have stomach pain. think that is normal?
I am following the gluten-free diet and I am wrong, I am discouraged.
said this information may be the cause of CM autoinme, for some agents in the diet as in the celiac.Do you think that some day they will know their cause? I think that isn´t studying a lot about our illness

In this country, most GI doctors say that pain should not be a symptom, and it is true that some people with this disease do not have much pain. However, most of us frequently have severe pain, during reactions. In addition to stomach pain, many of us ache all over, and we have stiff, sore joints, and severe headaches. We feel as though we have the flu. My pain was so bad that I could not sleep, some nights.
Yes, I think that someday, doctors will understand the connections between MC and celiac disease well enough that they will be able to do a much better job of treating both diseases, but it may take 10 or 20 years before they make much progress. As you say, not much research is being done on this disease.
Please do not be discouraged. It takes time for the intestines to heal. If you follow the diet carefully, in a few months, you should begin to feel better.

I have at times experience moderate to severe stomach pain as well just before an explosive flare of D.
I refer to these unexpected episodes as my tummy saying mean and hurtful things. Then I'm in a panic mode and refuse to leave my home until I'm absolutely sure the episode has passed. Sometimes there won't be an explosion of D but about 85%-90% I do experience D following the stomach pain.
What I try to do and have found that it helps is at the present I take 6mgs. daily of Entocort and Levsin 0.125mgs. The Levsin I take twice a day which really helps control my stomach pain. However, I still experience the explosive D when I least expect it which makes life very very interesting causing me to try frantically try and figure out 'What the heck did I do wrong this time?' Arghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I have stomach pain quite frequently. I think it is fairly common to have gastritis with this disease. I most often feel the pain just under the left side of my ribcage and in the lower right abdomen. Although I don't feel pain throughout at all times, when I visit my doctor and he pushes on my stomach, I feel pain.

Yes, I also experience pain - most recently, under the left side of my ribcage. The doctor's deny that is a symptom of our disease, but from everyone's responses, I think it is.

yup!! that dam stomach pain gets me evrytime.. 
I even get it without a food reaction and flare up ...I get it a lot when i eat solid food...
Hate the gurgling and gas too, not good when your in a pretty quiet meeting i can tell ya lol!!!
God!! i burp a lot too..

I went searching for this topic because this is my NUMBER 1 problem. I have chronic stool ... issues... But the pain I don't go a week without.
I take 1.2 grams of Asacol twice daily.
0.125 levsin 3 times a day
and lortab as needed, which I am sad to say today it's Needed.
My pain is more lower GI, along the track of my ribcage and sometimes in my pelvis. It shoots into my back too... my presenting issue was pain back in 2006.
Don't feel alone... it's not weird.

How interesting...my first presenting symptom was pelvic pain so bad I had a laparoscopy in 2003 to rule out endometriosis, which was the doc's first guess. Had back pain along with it.

I have experienced very bad stomach/abdominal pain in the past. I have also experienced what some doctors thought was due to my gallbladder, right side along the ribs, sometimes it radiated into my back below the shoulder blades. Since the start of MC I have had all sorts of aches and pains, so what you describe doesn't sound abnormal to me.
