Hi everybody,

I'd really like some suggestions. I've had 100% predictacable periods every 30 days since I was a teenager. In April I was at least one week early, and this month I'm 2 weeks late, so far. I still haven't started. I've gained at about 10 pounds in the last 2 months. My lower stomach is so big I'm buying new clothes. I haven't had any menopause symptoms that I know of. (except night sweats that went away when my doc said I was getting too much thyroid medicine; he reduced it and they went away) My thyroid Rx was reduced about 6-8 weeks ago. Those are the facts. What would you do? I'm such a hypochondriac: reading food labels and all. I hate to go over nothing.

Sigh. Thank you in advance, Love, Marsha

Hi Marsha, Are you sure you aren't pregnant? It sounds like when a woman descibs symtoms related to pregnancy. Either wya I'd go and get myself looked at to be sure, and safe. Love Oma

I would guess menopause symptoms. Might want to call your doctor. Might be the thyroid meds again too. Just thinking out loud here.

Are you feeling bad too - bloated feeling or just weight gain?

Hmmm. I would say there is a good chance the change in thyroid meds could have upset the hormonal apple cart. Definately call the doc though and just let him know. He may say its 100% normal after a med change or he may want to see you.

Another thing could be milk

Post by Arlene »

One of my girlfriends mentioned that problem to me about two months ago. I remember her mentioning that her doc said that she should stay away from milk. The hormones in milk can throw off your system and the hormones in meat can do it too. Once she dropped the milk items, she finally got a normal period. Took the second month, though.

Much Love

I'm all for the Thyroid theory! I couldn't believe how big-er my lower stomach got when I was starting my thyroid treatment. When I am not getting enough thyroid hormone my stomach will bloat and I have to go to the trusty stretch-o-matic pants until I get things back under control!

Its a terrible feeling but hopefully only a temporary one!

Hugs,

Lori
