Anyone tested positive for this? If so, what did you do? So far the only things I have read that is done for it are "triple therapy" and mastic gum. Any experience with these?
I had a CDSA done from Metametrix, and my H. pylori levels were high. Oddly, there was no candida overgrowth which I fully expected to see.
My butyrate levels were on the low end of normal too. Not sure what you do about that.
Thanks y'all!

Shonda,
Supposedly, half the world's population have H. pylori, but unless you have symptoms, (or an ulcer, or something of that sort), treatment may not even be recommended. I believe that treatment normally involves a PPI, (to reduce the acidity of the stomach, so that damaged tissue can heal), and a couple of antibiotics.
I'm thinking that one or more members here may have been treated for H. pylori, but at the moment, I'm drawing a blank as to who it might be. Hopefully, they'll see your post and respond.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
