Optimized B-Complex

Post by Lucy »

Hi all,

I found a new (to me, anyway) B-complex recently, and this time, I checked out the allergens it's free of VERRRRY carefully before I bought it.

It's put out by Jarrow Formulas, in a bottle of 100 capsules. Took my first one of them tonight without difficulty swallowing it, so lets hope that continues!
I may have to alternate with my B-12 sublingual tablet once in a while to get enough B-12, but the amount of Folate in this one is the same as that found in the B-12 sublingual, so I'll not take both of them on the same night from now on.

I notice that it has two forms of B-3 and two of B-6. I've always heard that some of these B vitamins need other B vitamins to work well, so this should help with that.

This also has Biotin. PABA, Choline, and Inositol in it. It is said to be carefully balanced and low odor.

Pantethine is a derivative of B-5 and a precursor of Coenzyme A or CoA which is involved in oxidative metabolism.

Pyridoxal 5-Phosphate (P-5-P), the label continues, is the coenzyme form of Vitamin B-6 which is necessary for the metabolism of proteins and amino acids.

I'm going to have to eat this after dinner when my stomach is usually the most full. Just hope the niacin won't be too much for me -- so far, so good!

Has anyone else tried this particular formula for their B's before?

Jarrow seems to be one of the more popular brands sold at Whole Foods.
I probably should've been replacing more than just the B-12 when it was discovered to be way to low, just in case the others were low as well, but here goes anyway.

Yours, Luce

Morning Luce----comes the second week in August Iwill be having an entire work over done on my body's functioning agents~~~trying to find out why I cannot TASTE nor SMELL anything (about 3years -here or there)

I am certain some of my *parts* will need help in being restored as my *eating* has gone the drain---

So far I am on Liquid ZINC (which is :drinkingmedicine: ) and I mean horrific---and the DR. was shocked that I tasted that so fast--and she said I will *hate* her  when I do---and I surely :yikes: when I DID----
Also a 2 tablets of Zinlori75 and with breakfast is added a drink mixed with a formula called IMMUNE DEFENSE -1,000mg of VC-enhanced Zinc---So I am all ZINCED UP---

I will be very happy to know what all my levels are and hoping that I can regain my senses----and not the ones in my head *eye-the*

Oh--I have noticed that the redness on eyelids have decreased---so thats a good sign--of what? I dont know--

Have a good day--

Barbara~~~~~~

Barbara,

I hope the zinc works for you. Three years is a looong time to go without smelling or tasting anything.

Yes, I've been using this for years... I was initially attracted to it because it uses both methylcobalamin form of B12 and P5P form of B6. Is it called B-Right? Can't go wrong with the price either.
