Osteopathic Manipulation?

Post by crranch »

We just had an appointment today with a D.O. that does this. Has anyone else ever had it done? She was working on Rick's back and neck, from one to many horse wrecks over the years.

She also has had Enterolab testing done herself and not only carries both gluten sensitive genes, she tested positive for gluten, soy and dairy, just like Rick. So we had lots in common to discuss as far as diet. She thought we were way ahead of most of her patients, since we try to eat only what we raise, and do non-GMO and organic with everything...

Very nice Dr., we are hopeful that she will be able to help Rick feel better and control his flares also....

Hugs,
C

I hope you all will benefit from working together on all this. It's wonderful that you have found a D.O. with her attitude and hope she will be able to help Rick with his pain. I personally have not had any experience with it nor do I know anyone who has. I'm looking forward to more posts about this.

Hi Carrie,

What a coincidence! Do you think food intolerances are increasing or just being recognized more? I think it must be wonderful to have a heath care professional who truly understands. Don't know much about this procedure but would like to hear more.

Love,

Polly

I am starting to think that it is becoming much more mainstream, with all the news articles that you see about food allergies now. I did have to chuckle yesterday when I mentioned the Enjoy Life chocolate chips and she was excited about them as I was...She studied nutrition under Andrew Weil...and aside from the fact that I'm pretty sure she is not a carnivore, like we are, our diets seem similar. It was just nice to have a doc not give you the evil eye when you mention Enterolab...and not tell you to go ahead and eat gluten...Yeah

I'll let you know how he does on this treatment, and if it helps any...

Hugs,
