Dear Dee,

What a lot you have been through. :bricks:

Just know that you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dee,

You certainly have your hands full -- an understatement!
We'll just have to keep praying and hoping for the best.

Best wishes,

Oh Dee,

I'm so sorry. Alcohol is an almost unbelievable foe, isn't it. It obviously has your son totally under it's control. All we can do is pray.

I can certainly understand Ben's predicament. I've been dealing with drusen for almost 30 years. The affects on my vision are similar to his.

Wow! That's a long time for Jack to have to wait to see his test results. They must be really busy.

You and yours are always in my thoughts.

Dee,

Have you ever tried Celestial Seasoning's Sleepytime Tea? I just checked in my GF/CF/SF shopping guide, and it is free of all of those. I haven't used it in awhile, but it really got me through a time when I was having trouble sleeping. I just drank a cup about an hour before bed. It really eases you into sleep without the issue of feeling groggy in the morning. And you don't need a prescription  . It comes in a green box with a bear in his pajamas on it (which should make you smile, at least).

Love,

What an armful of problems! I think that the hardest worries are those that we can't do much about. Hang in there, knowing that we're all hoping for the best. :rainyscene:

Dee,
What about making up some turkey burgers for yourself, and having one for your evening meal. Hopefully, one of those wouldn't leave you groggy in the morning. If it does, perhaps you could move the hour you eat it up by increments and just hit the hay a little earlier at night when it makes you sleepy.
Guess you know to leave off the caffeinated drinks, chocolate, etc. -- maybe just a little early in the morning if you need a little then. I've gotten my instant pretty weak, but can tolerate it now that I'm throwing in a little Siagon Cinnamon each morning.
Let us know how it's going with the sleep. You certainly need your restorative sleep through all this.
Yours, Luce

Oh Dee, that is so sad and difficult for you.

You are certainly getting it in spades!

Let this Angel look over you and take some of your pain. We are thinking of you.

HI Dee,

Well you have really been slammed this time. My prayers are with you and your family. Alcohol is such a hard thing to deal with for the family of one who has problems. As you say, he is an adult and there really is nothing you can do but care and be there if needed. So sorry about your husband's problem.

Love, Maggie
