Have you ever had a significant problem with acne.

Yes, but I never used any prescription drug to treat it.

Yes, I used Isotretinoin, (Accutane, Sotret, Claravis, Amnesteem), to treat it.

Hi All,

Since certain acne treatments have been implicated in the development of IBDs, maybe a survey on this issue will be enlightening, (as Gloria has suggested).

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I can't access the survey, but I'd need to check multiple answers - I threw everything but the kitchen sink @ my acne. I used topical antibiotics, oral antibiotics and Accutane - which was the magic bullet. Probably 7 years of treatment total....

I just assumed antibiotics was the main answer, so checked that. I think that most people tried lesser things, such as topical treatments, etc., along with the antibiotics. Luce

I didnt get much acne as a teenager it was later into my thirties i got lot of spots...Since i stopped eating gluten my skin has improved greatly...
