mammogram update

I am all Good!! They showed me my first xray and it did show a small mass. They squished the heck out of me and when we looked again, it was gone! She said I always have to ask future techs to really squish me (I am a bigger chested woman) so that they can see better especially since I have the fibrocystic breast changes. She also told me that they don't send letters if it looks life threatening. They call and haul my butt in right away. So thank you all ladies for your well wishes and Deb you are right, you have to always go in for your check ups even though I won't be looking forward to the extra hard smashing!

I am so glad you got good news. It was also good info to know if it appears life threatening they don't write you but call you in. I am also a big chested woman and I dread my annual mammo. Where I go does digital ones. They still have to squeeze hard but it does make it easier for them to compare side by side my last one to see if they need to squeeze harder or take another view.

So happy to hear that everything went well. Guess the best thing is to just endure the discomfort and always have them squish the heck out of us. Had that letter too and they squished a lot and then gone.

I've been gone for awhile and your message was a relief! Yeah! I always feel a great sense of relief when I get my result back from my mamo and it is negative too. Now the wait until next year. Enjoy it!
