Sleeping Pills May Be Risky For Those With GERD

Post by tex »

Hi All,

Since GERD seems to be a somewhat common problem for people with MC, this article caught my eye. According to this research article, sleep aids may lead to unexpected problems for those with gastroesophageal reflux disease, (GERD):

To make matters worse, apparently, many people with sleep problems, have undiagnosed GERD, which would appear to make sleep aids a dubious choice for almost anyone. The following link, for example, is from an article that mentions that about 70% of people who have GERD, have sleep problems:

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
