Candy for children

Post by annie oakley »

I saw something today at the store that sort of suprised me. It was put out ny the National Diabetes association. Instead of sugar they used fruit juice to sweeten it...I am sure theat there were other things in there that I wouldn't put in my body...and I will get one just to read all the ingredients but it is a start I think instead of all that refined sugar that can't be good for anyone. Ani I am guilty as the next person for eating things like snickers and hershey bars...I just thougt it interesting. I will get one and post the ingredients. Oh Yesh....Miss Bob white Momma Quail is still setting the nest..she left briefly yesterday I suppose to eat or what ever quail do....but is back setting on the eggs. I am so thrilled as we are starting the Quail CRP program this fall. Love Oma

Hi Oma. Do you remember the name of that candy bar? My grandkids are here; and, I'm convinced they eat far too much refined sugar. A juice-sweetened candy bar might be a great alternative. Thanks!

Love,
Carrie

I;ve seen that too...they have displays of it by the cashiers at our local WalMart. It is endorsed by the diabetes association, so you might be able to find more out about it on their website (which I don't know the exact name or website, so I'm no help...but maybe you can search).
