The New Logo

Post by tex »

Hi All,

Ok, does anyone have any serious problems with the new logo? Any questions, comments, criticisms?

I'm hoping that when Jean gets back from her fishing trip, she will give us permission to use this logo.

I added the caption. Would you rather I leave it off? Should the wording be changed? Would you rather see a different font, such as some type of script, or something exotic, or whatever?

Love,
Wayne

Hi friends - Potty People,

The thing that bothers me about it is that it looks too much like a handicap sticker/logo. I would rather have one with a touch of more humor to it and some color.

Cute one as we're too pooped to pot!

This is bad of me but gotta say it: this stick "people person" looks like he/she can really kick some _ _ _ (bootie).

I think Jean did a great job and I love the logo!

At one time she was going to make us badges that we could flash in public washrooms to jump the queues...Jean still got that planned?

I think it's GREAT!! I thought it was great the first time I saw it. Jean, you are a genius.

I think it's funny, but in a subtle way. It doesn't hit anybody over the head with what we are about, but it sure makes a point. HAHAHAHA!!!!

Keep it!!!!

I wouldn't care if your kitchen walls were orange with purple polka dots because the kitchen is the heart of the home. Your heart is truly a warm place no matter the pallate<sp? Man, time to listen to the old grammar rock tapes! lol

I love the logo, and have a copy of it on my fridge. It reminds me of a handicap logo too, but we are handicaped. at times.

Maybe Jean can tweak it a little, add some color and put some meat on the potty person?

about something like this? http://www.sculptureyard.com/figure/thethinker.html

HA HA HA We all can relate to this guy! Just kidding, of coarse but what a body.

I know that is why we're all here and I do think the logo is clever and good spirited and shows we have a sense of humor about our affliction, but does it make us appear sort of one-dimensional? We're about a lot more than D vs. norman.

I love Joanna's suggestion (tongue in cheek) of the Thinker. In my mind I pictured him on a potty instead of that tree trunk. I guess it would be copyright violation to "photoshop" in a potty. Here is a quote from the description of the sculpture, "The Thinker is depicted as a man in sober meditation battling with a powerful internal struggle." Hey, maybe that tree trunk is hollow!

Hi Karen,

Ok. Here's some color. LOL. What did you have mind? Do you have a photo I could modify and use? I'm open to suggestions.

See ya after work.

Love,
Tex
