After being away for awhile, I'm posting the question below on behalf of a person who is close to me.
Kind Regards,
Roger
I have been on one (1) entocort for two weeks and am struggling with constipation. My two gastro guys are scheduling my appointments three months apart and I have no way of finding out if I am doing the right thing by taking stool softeners (colace), eating gallons of apple sauce and other seasonal fruits. My heart specialist prescribed one (1) reglan pill for swollen feet. I had to give up this "water pill" after 2 days because it made the problem unmanageable. According to one gastro guy I am permitted to eat anything and to the other "5 small meals". I'm watching my diet by avoiding fat and anything that I became allergic to after starting entocort in May with 3 per day (supermarket bread, all milk products, orange juice).
the other side of the MC coin - constipation

Roger,
Tell your friend: Yes, take stool softeners, laxatives, or whatever is necessary, to control the constipation.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
