Lynn took Kait to see her doctor(her liver specialist)-----and he was LIVID that HARTERS group did NO testing for any digestive issues~~~~~~~being HARTER said it ISNT a SHUNT PROBLEM-----so he just let Kait lie there doing nothing!!!!!!!
With all the meds that she takes there could be something disturbing her digestive system--
He told Lynn stop the LYRICA---PAXIL--and a few other drugs that she has been ingesting for years-
Will give it A 2 week trial and see what happens--
Lynn including us---thought the same---maybe her system is in disarray due to all these meds that she has been on for years!!!!!
One doesnt puke and continue to feel nauseous from NOTHING!!!
Needless to say---my nasty WORDS RUNNETH over----I lie not when I say *I hated that Harter from day 1----and U all know that---

Very interesting...........usually the primary medical doc is supposed to look at all of the health issues and coordinate care, but with all of the specialists Kait sees, I guess she may not see a PMD very often. Good news that she will now be seen as a "whole person". My best wishes are with her, as always.

Hmmmmm. I've been wondering if she might be taking a bunch of unnecessary stuff that could be conflicting, or otherwise somehow causing problems. That sounds like a good thing to try.

Kait does have her own Neuro MD----but Lynn wanted her doc. to check Kait over---for the simple fact that when things erupt with Kait---the first step is off to the NEUROS>-- Lynn is always in the middle lane--its usually a shunt issue=--Harter didnt seem to think that and he DIDNT want to go in and look around---he opened the shunt to have the fluid run faster--I understand that but if that not be the problem do something else!!!
If I sound angry--yes I am---Lynn has to drive all the way from her place into NYC(which is about a 2 hour ride)---to see Harter---she cannot keep doing this if its *oh we dont wanna go in again* and they dont check anything else@!!!
She has 2 jobs to keep going!!!!!

God bless the PCPs in this case. I realize that the neuros are Lynn's and Kait's first line of defense but it seems they just can't get a thing right.
Hope it all works out well after the couple of weeks and you all are in my prayers.

Poor Kait - I'm glad that the other doctor is thinking outside the box and realized that Kait's medications could be the problem. It sounds like the neuros have tunnel vision. They need to look at the whole person.
Lyn sounds like a strong woman. Kait is lucky to have her as her advocate.

As one who has been continually nauseous in the past and been told nothing was wrong (and I don't have issues like poor Kait), I feel for the girl. Docs don't seem to think if a test can't show the problem...or they are few and far between who do.
I do hope this helps...weaning off those particular meds might make her feel weird for a few weeks...the antidepressants do take some off adjusting to.
