When you need a friend in the neighborhood! Who U gonna call

Post by Umber »

Need some support! I am doing great just not FANTASTIC! I want to be running at 100%. Is that reality? I am doing a 21 day cleanse, monitored by my acupuncturist and WOW! Its gonna be tough. I can't fail, this is so much more than a cleanse. I have finally come the the same conclusion some of you have.....Its the food I am eating! I am a little thick skulled. So I need cheering on, please! I am team Tiger, this is my Survivor! Hahahaha! I want this to be the answer! Thanks so much!

Love to all!

Lori

P.S. My daughter Ashlee, still strugging with drugs/rehab etc. I have finally (thick skull again) realized that I can't fix this and the insanity had to stop for me! Sad place to be yet really, really empowering! Co-dependant No More! GREAT BOOK! Oh one more thing, if you don't mind. I am so proud of myself....total weight loss of 60 lbs! That is my 8 year old neice!

Hi Lori,

Congratulations on the weight loss - that's a real accomplishment, and you certainly should be proud of yourself.

While I definitely agree that we are, (as the saying goes), what we eat, I'm not convinced that cleansing programs, in general, have much value, (except to the people selling them). Remember that "cleansing" cannot take the place of a proper diet, and a proper diet should preempt the need for any cleansing programs. That said, unless it is really radical, it shouldn't hurt you, and the placebo effect usually provides some benefits, so I certainly wish you the best of luck in your efforts.

Love,
Tex

Hi Umber,
Needless to say, I wish you the very best results with all that you are doing.

Please keep posting about your progress. So many here are such an inspiration to us, and I'm totally impressed with your 60 lb weight loss!!!

I believe you have made the correct decision about Ashlee although I know it is a very hard thing to accept. At least you have made the first decision. If Ashlee isn't strong enough to help herself there isn't a lot you can do about it. Somewhere down the line she just may surprise you and find she does have the strength after all. I surely hope she does.

Very proud of you. Good luck with what you're trying now.
But I have one question--you lost 60 pounds by sending off your 8-year-old niece (who weighs 60 lb?)?

Morning Umber,

Congratulations on the weight loss - it is something that takes a determined spirit and a lot of work.

Also, you have taken the time for Ashlee but you cannot live or life or demand her choices. She will have to work through this herself and call on you for advice when needed.

Good progress but I know that I could never do the cleansing thing. Just too wearing on my body.

Check back in and let us know how it all goes.

Love, Maggie

good luck with the cleansing of the body--I am wondering how has does your acupuncturist help U thru this cleansing??

I thought the acu. does adjusting to the body when something is our of order---
Can U Xplain the cleansing system??

As far as Ashlee---it has to be her *decision* to clean up her act--

As the Xpression goes---Tough Love----I can attest to that phrase!!!
Good luck and let us know how U progress with your cleansing
