Good Morning, Buddies!

Post by Polly »

Hi All,

I do not have any more info on Tex yet (no news is good news, I hope!) but wanted to say hi and share a few thoughts.

We are supposed to get up to 24 inches of snow in the next few days, which is unusual for Maryland. I wanted you to know in case I suddenly disappear from here (power failure).

Your comments, love, and concern for Tex will surely help him over this health hurdle. We truly are a family. I was particularly interested in the dreams about Tex that Maggie and Carol had. That shows how connected we all are.

I think the best tribute we can offer to Tex just now is continue to help each other here according to our long-standing tradition - especially the newbies. I know Tex would be happy to know that we are doing this. You know, I don't believe that he feels personally obligated to respond immediately to each newcomer. He probably does so more by default and compassion. I'll bet he would be delighted to see 10 or 15 responses already there when he logs on. It will be a big help to him, I think, if we carry this ball. I know I haven't been around much in the past few months, and I have felt guilty that Tex does all that he does without complaint. What a guy, right?!!!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Love,

Polly, the snow bunny

Everyone gives as much as they are able, and as a newbie I appreciate all the support that everyone offers no matter how little or how big that support is.

the main thing is everyone gives unconditionally, and that is what makes this a very special family

have a great weekend everyone

I am one of the newbies here and I can't tell you how much it meant to me to have Tex as well as others responding to my questions and concerns so quickly. I am praying for Tex and I feel so bad for what he is going through. Thanks so much for keeping us all posted and hope to hear of good things to come!

Thanks everyone!

AnnieW

Update on my condition: I was diagnosed with mc/lc in Nov. been having problems since Oct 09. Started the gluten/dairy free diet and now I am trying to wean myself off caffeine and I am already seeing some differences - lets hope it continues to get better and better.

 That certainly works for me. I would be grinning from ear to ear, if all I could say to a newbie was, "You've already received such great advice that all I can add is :welcome: ".

I also agree that the dreams described by Carol and Maggie, were not only interesting, but very special. As I was being prepped for surgery, that night, concerns about the future of this board, (in case anything went wrong), were heavy on my mind. Just before they actually started rolling me out toward the operating room, my face began to get numb, which I interpreted as a very bad sign, so I tried to concentrate on thoughts of survival, (since I had to survive, in order to see what you were saying about me, here  ). Maybe that extra concentration, and those dreams, helped to pull me through.

Love,
Tex

What a terrifying experience, Tex.

I'm so glad you had the survivalist mentality and we are once again able to enjoy your presence.

You love each and every one of us because you have taken the time to get to know each of us and have made our problems your concern. We love you, too.
