A Dozen White Roses, Etc. - Even A :bear:

Post by tex »

Hi All,

Well, even though on the surface, this appears to be a shameful waste of perfectly good flowers, I have to say that those beautiful flowers did indeed get my day off to a great start.

I dragged myself out of bed this morning, weak, sore, half-rested, etc., :oldmanwithcane: and I was in the bathroom, emptying and cleaning my new ileostomy appliance, and repacking the wound left by my old colostomy, when they arrived - sort of an appropriate setting for a delivery to a Potty Person, don't you think?

It's a gloomy day here today, with steady light rain, that's predicted to turn into snow, as the temperatures slowly drop, but inside, I'm warm and happy, and smiling, and so proud to be a part of this wonderful family.

Many thanks - I Love you guys, each and every one of you,

Tex

Dear Tex,

You have brightened up so many a gloomy day :flowersmiley: you are more than "a part of this wonderful family", you are its heart.

Love Ant.

P.S. Here is something my father used tell of his army days.....

Young Lieutenant Office, "Sergeant Major! Did you put those silly flowers on my desk?"
Sergeant Major, "No Sir."
Young Lieutenant Officer, "Well then, who on earth did put them there?"
Sergeant Major, "The Colonel, Sir."
Young Lieutenant Officer, "I say, aren't the lovely."

GOod morning Tex....

hope the health chores are not too tiring, and although you are a bit tired and sore, hope you feel better than what you did a few days ago.

Keep up the rest..... and take care of you.

White roses and a teddy is not a shameful waste of good flowers (although it's Valentines Day soon and the prices have doubled) and yes, the delivery time was perfect.....

Hug that teddy for many nights to come....

Love you too,

Those white roses were supposed to be PEACH (the yellow rose of TX was unavailable).

The flowers come from the hearts of your family here that love you deeply.

I'm off to Mexico tomorrow...we can deal wih the flower fund anudder day.

:thanks:

Hmmmmmm,

Maybe you're right. They did seem a little off white, but the lighting in that room wasn't the best in the world, at the time, so I just assumed that either my vision was a little off, or it was just my imagination. I'll have to examine them more closely, obviously. At least I got the bear color right.

Love,
Tex

Dear Tex,

It was the least we could do and so happy they brightened your day. You are the dearest to all of us.

Happy Valentine's Day early.

Love You, Maggie
