Ashlee & Kylee are in Hawaii

Post by Umber »

They are there for 10 days. Left this past Wednesday. Kylee was very excited to see her dad. When he is out of sight she throws a fit. Ashlee loves it and can't wait to move there. Boo hoo....I miss my girls already. I can't imagine them gone for months. OMG, this is awful. I was so hoping she wouldn't want to live there.

Kylee has asked for me the past couple of days. Points at the door and says grandma? I'd say she misses me

Hugs

Poor Lori:

I feel for you. Well, console yourself with planning trips to Hawaii to visit. Can I come with you?

You have had some real quality time with Kylee in the 1st year of her life and that is so precious - you can treasure that and keep it in your heart. Some Grammas don't get such special times because of loved ones living far away. I got to spend lots of time with my grandchildren when they were babies and it's so special to me and I was just going through the albums the other day and remembering those times. Now, they still live fairly close, but are 12 and 15 and busy with their friends and don't have an awful lot of time for Grandma. I was excited to hear my Granddaughter is going to work for a couple of weeks in her Mom's store and, as it's only a few blocks from us, will be staying with us so we're going to have fun with some crafting projects. She's interested in beading (especially jewellery) so we're going to try some new stuff together. I got some memory wire and that's going to be fun learning to make bracelets, anklets and necklaces and Sara cna do that with me.

We're off for a quick visit to Lisa (Peg's sister and the grandchildren's Mom) at her work picnic and then to Peggy's for the long-awaited salmon barbecue, so a busy, fun day.

I know you will have lots of special times with Kylee to come, even if it's not so often. Lots of neat pictures to come too. What part of Hawaii are they going to?

Have a nice Sunday.

Love - Momster ((((((((((Lori)))))))))

Hi Lori!

Actually, I did know that your "girls" were already there. I had an email from Ashlee a few days ago saying that Maui is beautiful and that they were getting ready to head to the beach! I was so jealous. It sounds as if they will like it there.

I know how much you will miss them. Have you thought of making a movie or an audio tape of you talking or reading a story that you can mail to Kylee on a regular basis? I know she is going to miss you terribly. You are SUCH an important person in her life.

BTW, what is the reason for the move? I don't think I ever heard.

When is your first trip to Hawaii?

Love,

Polly

I'm sorry, Lori, and I think I know sort of how you feel. Thea and Derrick keep mentioning that they might move back to Eugene to be close to his mother and it terrifies me. As you know, Eugene is only two hours away!! I can only imagine how you must feel with your babies all the way over in Hawaii. However, as everybody has said, it will give us both a good excuse to go to Maui/Eugene.

This first year with our babies has really been a blessing, hasn't it? there is a heart to heart bonding there that will never go away no matter how old or busy they get. Look at Momster with Sara.

Courage, my dear. It will be okay. Polly's idea is great, by the way. I will do that myself if they do move.

Lots of love,

Sally

Lori,

I'm sorry to hear this news, but we knew it was coming, right? I absolutely LOVE Polly's idea. You could read her all sorts of stories and send them at different times. And of course visiting them should be lots of fun! Ron's parents go to Hawaii every year and just love the place.

Love you,
Peg

I'm sure it will get better with time, luckily they will be back before they go for good. The video is a great idea. We will have to buy a video camera.

I have been pretty sad, my heart hurts....I am having D even with the Entocort...need to get my stress under control.

Hugs,
