Tootie's Cake

Post by wonderwoman »

Here's the recipe for a delicious cake from my daughter that I promised I would submit. She made it for me for my birthday. This is what she wrote.
Enjoy!!

Tootie's Cake

Wet Mix:
1 box Betty Crocker GF chocolate cake mix (or yellow)
1/2 cup oil or apple sauce
4 eggs or 1 cup substitute
1 cup sour cream (substitute rice milk)
1 box instant GF chocolate pudding (or vanilla)

Dry Mix:
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
2 Tbsp cocoa
1 cup chocolate chips (GF & DF)
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Mix dry and wet separate.  In a greased and sugared bundt cake pan, alternate wet, dry, wet, dry, wet, dry.  (3 layers of each.  The first layer will be very small).  Swirl slightly with a knife.  Bake 50 minutes at 350 degrees.  Frosting not necessary.  Maybe just a powdered sugar glaze or dusting.

I don’t have a bunt pan so I will use my angle food pan.
