It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Happy Birthday, Hotrod

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I don't post much but I keep up with most of the threads here.
I have just taken my last Entocort dose. I started last April with 9 mg/day and have been tapering off for about 6 months. Of coarse, I have also been on my restrictive diet for almost 2 years. I have been doing really well with only one episode of D in the last 10 months. Ocasionally, I even have one of my forbidden foods without any problems. A small piece of cake, small scoop of ice cream, eggs and several others have all gone well for me. I just use common cense and have small pieces now and then.
I feel very fortunate to have found this group of people, on this site. The information and advice that I have received has given my life back to me. I will always be indebted to you all for that.
To the newbies, all I can offer in the way of advice is to follow the diet and be patient. We all just want this disease to go away, but, it takes most of us years to achieve remission and we must make a life long commitment to the diet.
Hope all of you are well.
