Gabes,

I'm feeling quite well, if I do say so myself. For all I know, I may have always had these occasional pressure excursions, but as we get older, our baseline pressure tends to increase, so any run ups become more significant. Also, since my first surgery, 4 years ago, my metabolism seems to have changed, and now I gain weight at the drop of a hat, whereas before, I never had to worry about my weight, no matter what I ate, or how much I ate. Anyway, as a result, while I'm not obese, I do weigh more now, and that increases BP, also. Possibly, some of the diet changes that I've made in the last 10 years have affected my BP, also. And, these things tend to run in families - my dad took BP meds.

Thanks for asking.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I have been on Norvasc for blood pressure for years.. I never really looked up the side effects..now I know where the nagging little cough comes from..never mentioned it to to doctor since I figured he would go after my smoking. My dosage is for 5mg.. but usually I only take a half one at night. Doc said most people have heart attack between 2-5 am.. so night is the best time to take it. Tried full pill but was too light headed. At times have taken half a pill am and pm but mostly just take the night half.
