sorry to hear that you are still feeling a bit blah and crappy ............. your body is definately struggling.
there are heaps of meal suggestions in the dee's kitchen area, if you were keen to eliminate certain foods then i think she was going to send you some meal ideas then.
I can recommend eating 'easy food' meals that are easy for your body to digest like soups and stews etc. It will help the gut to heal, allow you to absorb some nutrients and take some of the stress away which will give you some energy back. you will get better....... there are many of us that have been to hell and back with this, some have been there a few times and faced huge challenges.
I too struggle with the minor flares, fatigue and if I dont go to work i am on leave with no pay. Hence why I have accepted the slightly bland repetitive easy to eat food, it puts less stress on my body and I can cope with demands of work and life.
i am very confident that if you make small diet changes then you will notice the difference (actually i guarentee it!!)
My mother had Crohns, I was born with birth defects to my bowel, had 3 lots of surgery due to contusions and blockages, and have suffered IBS since. I was aware i was in high risk category for serious bowel issues had always hoped to get to age 50 before major bowel issues occurred. I was actually happy with the MC diagnosis as it didnt mean bowel removal, given how sick i was before diagnosis i thought bowel removal was going to happen.
My goal now is still to get to age 50 before any hint of bowel removal.....
Hang in there, and keep in touch. Like when Tex was in hospital and couldnt get a decent meal to suit his requirements and what his body could handle, I wished i lived close enough to take in a meal for him. Same for you, if i was closer i would make you a couple of meals.
I live alone, dont have family nearby and i know how hard it is to deal with this stuff when you are alone. there were so many times I wished someone could have done a load of washing for me as i didnt have the energy to do it. (especially when you have D you have heaps more washing!)
take care and talk soon

You can search for recipes in Dee's Kitchen here. She and many others have posted recipes for healthy, hearty foods there, so please don't wait to start a GF diet. It takes awhile before you get the G out, but once you do, you will wonder why you ever waited.
Try to stay positive.

Researching autoimmune disease in my family has been a very interesting trip for me. I share the history of family suicide with you. Two of my siblings have taken their lives and it is a never ending sadness, isn't it? I have a niece w/schizophrenia and all my siblings have/had autoimmune diseases. My mother had RA and died of stomach cancer, a brother died of colon cancer, my GF who was mis/dx w/TB died of a bowel obstruction. I've got a nephew who is an MD and has already had a bowel resection and both his daughters have Crohns. Reality is that I am still the only one who has been genetically dx with GS and nobody else seems to be willing to explore the possibility that they could feel better if they gave up gluten - whatever - I have moved on. It is ME who is on this journey, they know what I know, and that's all we can do.I've been wondering about autoimmune disease in my family ... I've read about possible links of such disease to MC. My brother was diagnosed with schizophrenia (he committed suicide 13 years ago at the end of this month), my mother had her thyroid removed and she also developed asthma in adulthood, one of my cousins (on her side of the family) went to NY City last year to have surgery due to Hidradenitis Suppurativa which is believed to have autoimmune connections. One other cousin had Epilepsy as a child (don't know if there is any link there). But I don't know of any relative with Celiac, or MC for that matter.
