Good to see the fighting spirit, Wayne. Email probably is the easier way out for her, but at least she has answered that.
So, are you going to see a GI there, or are there ways you can see a GI somewhere else?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but health systems vary so much between countries I don't understand what your options are. It sounds to me like she is at least recognising she can't help, and is offering to organise access to a GI at her centre. Is that the fastest way now for you to get access to a GI, or do you have other ways of getting access?
I don't know what FMLA leave is, but I am kinda assuming you need medical proof to stay on leave, and that is why you need to see someone. If that is the case, then it boils down to deciding what your options are now.
