~~~~~Oh! What A Night~~~~
Magnesium Citrate for the first round of prep comes out as battery acid!!!!!! Just call me BABS!!!!!!
Started working at 9pm so I stayed up until midnight hoping that was it! WRONG!!!!
Was up, down, up, down all night.
Has calmed long enough to get ready for the next round of MoviPrep starting at 4pm today.
I do have a tip to share.
Make sure you chill your prep solutions.
Then use a straw to take it so you have less of a chance of it hitting the taste buds.
For me, getting the magnesium citrate down was a piece of cake.
Trying to hydrate as much as my stomach allows.
No whining from me, as I know that this test has to be done, because of previous polyps.
Dee,
Good for you. "Happy" colonoscopy candidates are few and far between.
Good luck with the rest of the adventure.
Love,
It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Movi Prep
I had to use this stuff before my colonoscopy last winter. I dreaded it when I saw the huge box it came in. It wasn't fun, but I have found with these preps that if you chug it down cold, with a STRAW, it goes down much easier. Just put the straw towards the back of your throat. That way, it doesn't have to pass over much of your tongue or your teeth. Plus, it's not right in your face by your nose so you don't smell anything. It took quite awhile to start working. It didn't start working til I had drunk the first whole dose. Good luck - it won't be as bad as you think!
