update

Post by Olivia-Micro-Colitis »

Hello all,
So sorry its been a lil while been very busy. Last week i finally got to see my GI Doc. i told him he was stupid for the 1 pill of entocort a day. He bumped me up to 3 now. I finally got nausea meds that melt under my tongue (and after how many months of throwing up those pills did they finally realize to give me dissolveable ones). And thats it. he says the pain is normal and that its just a nuisence. What a jerk. he didn't even feel my tummy to see how swollen it was. he didn't do anything for me. i truly hate my GI.

On another note yesterday was Memorial day!

I still haven't gotten my cali driving priveleges back..so my hubby has to drive me everywhere. i'm still pretty angry about that one.

WEll sorry to rant i miss you all!

Olivia,

Hopefully, the increased Entocort should help with the pain, also.

Glad to hear from you Olivia, and that you at least got your enterodcort bumped up . Like Joe, I was getting a little worried about you when we hadn't heard from you in a while cause we know you are very sick. Hope you feel better soon.
Hugs,

I must say i did get a 72 hr liberty for Memorial Day and those 3 days off were awesome! i slept sooo much. i've had a lot of painful and bloddy BMs tho. My head aches never go away but my doc really didn't seem to care. my whole apt was like he said he was sorry he screwed up my dosage and that we are still on square 1. so its been 9months without ANY relief. i'm really angry at the fact that its taken this long to get any help. and i swear if my doc says "nuisense" one more time i'm gonna flip my lid. i'm so angry that i don't have the choice to pick my doc or seek a second opinion. :banghead: but i did sign a contract. beat_deadhorse: i just hope i finally get some relief. my GI wants to see me in 2 weeks so see if i've had any changes. he thinkings entocort is a miricle drug for my "nusience" disease.

Olivia,

I am concerned that you are still having bloody BMs. Did you go to sick call to have them check to see if it was the dreaded hemmorids? If you are still seeing blood you need to have it check.

Hugs to you.

Olivia,

I have to agree with Jan. You should not be having painful, bloody BMs, and that definitely needs to be checked out, ASAP. At the very least, you are going to eventually become anemic, and at the other extreme, you could be accumulating damage to your digestive system, that might not be reversible.

I had just assumed that this had been taken care of, by now. Please get it checked out - it's important. Even if it's only 'roids, the longer they remained inflamed and bleeding, the more likely they are to become worse, and possibly require surgical intervention, in the future.

Dear Olivia

Good to see you posting, but what a nonsense with your GI! Obviously agree about the bloody BMs being checked. Now you are finally on 3 Entocort a day your tummy should hopefully settle down. FYI I found I had about a week of bloating after starting the full dose of Entocort before things started calming.

Hope it works for you,

All best, Ant

Olivia,

Entocort can be a miracle drug for this disease, as long as you don't have any adverse reactions to it. Your dosage was too low, but now that it has been increased you should see improvement within a couple of weeks.

I agree with the others - you should get the bleeding checked out.

Good Luck!
