Update on my Floracel treatment

Post by tquick001 »

Hello all,

I just wanted to send a quick update on how I was fairing with using Floracel to obtain remission for my UC.

It has now been two and a half weeks and I am seeing a noticeable difference in my symptoms. The mucous has subsided completely and the amount of blood in my stool is decreasing everyday. I am down to maybe 4 to 6 stools a day and they continue to become more formed and the pain has also been greatly reduced. There was some debate in an earlier post on whether it was my diet or the Floracel that actually allowed me to achieve remission a few years ago so I decided to make myself a guinea pig and try this with minimal diet changes. I did this simply for my sake because I didn't want to believe that I was being ripped off and that all of those testimonies were lies to sucker me in. The only things I have avoided have been Italian food along with spicy food and alcoholic beverages.

I am very happy and encouraged that after two years of fighting this that I may actually get total relief.

I hope you are all doing well and seeing good results in your search for remission.

Tom,

That sounds encouraging. I hope you continue to make progress.

Thanks for the update, and please keep us informed on how well it's working as time goes on.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
