One year ago
It was constant flow,
And I found the Potty People.
There was Tex and Polly
So thoughtful and jolly,
And I saw a soaring steeple.
That first post
I still cherish the most.
The gal from 'Noo Yawk' -
Wow - could she 'tawk'!
With Shirley and Joan
You set a warm tone.
Lyn, Maggie and so many more
It was you who opened the door.
You told me no fear, just keep off the beer,
Look for Mars and reach for the stars.
Then I read the long, long story
Of Gloria - a struggle full of glory.
This knowledge is seldom taught,
But Entocort can't be cut short!
And then from Dee,
For zero fee, I came to see;
That Gluten, Dairy and Soy
Are not life's only joy!
So, soon I found
From all around,
From people old and new,
A family that is true.
So many brave, so many strong,
And that we all belong.
That Love and Wisdom lets us cry,
Then ends the sigh
And lifts our spirits high!
One year has past and I have a life (without any cake and treacle).

--What a great tribute, in rhythm and rhyme! You've made terrific progress, and been a wonderful support to all of us here! With your attitude, I'm sure we can look forward to even more soaring heights of poetry a year from now!
And of course it's all about attitude. Unlike you, I can't have wine (yeast sensitivity) and try to console myself with being able to eat eggs, which you can't! But of course the grass is always greener.........

Congrats on your gold star (now that I know what those are for). I'm farely new so have not walked the path with you in the past year but sounds like you've come far. That is encouraging for those of us just starting on that path. Hope you next year is equally productive.

The thing is never to give up - even with setbacks, that are almost bound to happen, you'll be making progress. As each day passes you'll find out more about what you can and cannot tolerate and, I think, slowly, slowly you get more and more good than bad days.That is encouraging for those of us just starting on that path.
