Very Amateurish Pictures
Had visitors this evening.
Sorry the pics are so bad. Pretty much my first attempts with a digital camera. Probably would have been better if I'd remembered to turn off the flash. (also the young bear would have stayed around longer - haha)

Hi Shirley,
Well, I am impressed! It's not easy to photograph a bear! You are so lucky to have them. I keep hearing that we have an occasional young male bear in our county, but one has never come to our yard. One can always hope........ Thanks for sharing. Try to get more, if you can. AHHHHH, the beauty of PA!
Love,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
What a fun picture! I'm sure that a black bear came through our property a few years ago, and ripped down the suet feeders. Something came through at night making a lot of racket. Strangely enough our two dogs never let out a single "woof", and pretended that they didn't hear a thing. And when I suggested that my DH take the flashlight out for a look, he said he was with the dogs!

I remember stories of my great grandmother in upper Michigan many years ago stepping out on her porch with a broom and banging the handle on the porch to make noise while she shooed them away. Nope, not me! I used to hear them rummaging through our compose pile at night and was freaked out over that. Kimmy is not fond of bears. Ok to look at from a very very very long distance or pics.

This is the closest to a bear you can find in Monaco, apart, of course, during the annual circus festival in the winter. P.S. Photography is my passion, so excuse me for the photo size...

What a minute Gabes, a drop bear??? I though they were a fictitious character, something like a vicious Koala. How in the world can a Koala be vicious anyways.
If memory serves wasn't the Bundy Bear a character used in advertisements for rum?
Of course you are right about no bears in Oz, the Koala bear isn't a member of the 'bear' family. Strangely enough I believe bears and pigs are in the same family
