Well folks I made it back, the trip was great. I really enjoyed giving the talk. The people were very friendly and made me feel at home. I could not believe the incredible scenery of the coastlines and mountains here.
As mentioned the eye-opener was trying the acupuncture and I will provide a more detailed write up on my experiences with that and what worked well for the travel and what did not. It was great to have a chance to meet with Gabes and say thanks for all of her help travel suggestions and the introduction to Shauno, and of course the Tim Tam cookies.
Ant your restaurant card idea works great I used it several times while in Brisbane.
Joann I would be interested in your experiences if decide to try acupuncture, this is still quite new to me and I would like to try several more sessions to really see how this will affect me.
After getting in around midnight eastern time, Nestle was more than happy to see me. I made sure to let her go outside to "do her business" before letting her back into the house. She spent a good 5 minutes 'talking' and what can only be described as crying. She has not left my side all day. She now has a new Koala bear for her stuffed animal collection...
I will put together a post with more pictures soon, right now dealing with the jet lag is my main focus.

Thanks everybody. I did fairly well on the trip and am working on a summary of the preparation and travel with MC. I do have literally hundreds of pictures and will put together a collection of some of the better ones to post here this weekend. I have been resting the past 2 days as the travel really can wear you down.
Nestle certainly is a 'sweet' dog and yeah I have been licked to death and she has turned into velcro dog. I have had several dogs over the years, but she stands out in a dramatic way with her personality and uncanny intelligence. I have not met another dog quite like her. She has been a good companion over these past 2 tough years.
The acupuncture really was a welcome surprise and is something that I will follow-up up with here. I have located a practitioner in the Boston area (Lotus Blossom Acupuncture) that is one of the facilities that is working directly with Harvard Medical. I have an appointment with them next Wednesday. I found the 2 appointments in Brisbane to be surprisingly beneficial. Gabes is certainly fortunate to have such a talented and knowledgeable practitioner in her area. More to follow on this topic.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
