Koalas Only In Australia

I have always found Koalas to be not only a cute animal but an interesting one. Its not a 'Bear' but a marsupial mammal that can only be found natively in Australia. These pictures were taken at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary located near Brisbane

They're so cute! I seem to remember that you can't pet them, however. Thanks for the pictures.

Gloria in New South Whales your not supposed to be able to pet them and certainly not hold them, but they do let you pet them a bit. In Queensland where Brisbane is located you can hold and pet them. It depends what state you are in.

They are every bit as soft as they look.

Very good pictures joe. I like them because they are "close ups" and very clear. My husband has become interested in photography since he retired and has won many ribbons for his entries in contests here. Your photos also deserve blue ribbons.
