Oma, a YOUNG Willie Nelson!! Willie looks like he's been rode hard and put away wet quite a few times. He's still my man, though.

Thanks everyone,

I appreciate your thoughts.

Mr. Nelson has led an interesting life, hasn't he. He seems to have slowed down a little lately, (at least I haven't heard much about him lately), but up until a couple of years ago, the TX Department of Public Safety, (Highway Partol), used to find him on a regular basis, parked on the shoulder of the read, sleeping it off. At least he knew not to try to drive, in that condition. LOL.

Maggie - that's not the greatest photo in the world, so I don't know how long we'll be able to tolerate it, but I'll try to follow your orders. LOL.

Love,
Wayne

Willie is on a midwest tour. His annual Farm Aid concert is going to be somewhere in Illinois. I wish he would come out here so I could see him again.

I wish you would, too, Wayne, so I could see you for the first time. Bring cigars!!

Love,

Sally

Sally,

Hahahahahahaha. I believe that's the first invitation I've ever received in my life, where someone requested that I "bring cigars". The usual comment is something like " that's a disgusting habit", or "you're not gonna smoke one of those things, are you?", or "It's gonna be a cold winter, I see the hogs are carrying firewood". LOL.

Kathy,

Stevie Ray Vaughn? Hmmmmmm.

Shirley,

A cigar is a prop that tends to change one's appearance significantly. Remind me to send you a photo of what I really look like, one of these days. LOL.

Love,
Wayne

Wayne, YOU are a card. "Hogs carrying firewood????" That's a hoot. I just fell off my chair again!

My friend who helped me close my mother's estate said that, when he tried to get information from the Wells Farge Bank, they treated him like he was "a dead hog in the sun." Hahaha!!! He's from Arkansas.

Love,

Sally

Wayne,

I have heard all of those stupid cliches regarding cigar smokers and just imagine the comments you get when you are a woman smoking one in public.

I agree with everyone, its a great pic. I think the cigar just adds that bit to it. And for some odd reason I like the smell of a good cigar. A little goes a long way too. It got a friend of my youngest daughter a trip to the movie studios in Los Angeles ( I think). Anyway, the gentleman is a lawyer (term is kind) closer to my age, a multi millionaire to boot. Who knew? A lawyer being a millionaire? Anyhow, the story goes this way. When he comes into Toronto he has a few client/friends who own big time restaraunts here, that celebrities go to. So he has met quiet a few via his friends. One day he was sitting back after his dinner enjoying one of his custom made cigars, (150.00CDN per cigar) when one of the waitresses approached him and related a message from another customer, who just so happened to be Adam Sandler and a high ranking studio Executive. She said the Mr. Sandler really loved the smell of his cigar and wondered if you would by chance be able to give him one to try. And he did, no problem. Then a while later the waitress came back and said that Mr. Sandler and the Executive would like to know if he would like to join them. HE actually was going to decline, but the restaraunt owner suggested it would be a good thing, so he did. Giving them another cigar. Mr. Sandler and the Executive had liked the cigars so much that they asked if he would be so kind as to tell them where they could purchase some? But the lawyer told them they were custom made, but he would sent them a box when he got back to his office. The executive asked if they could exchange cards, and get fax numbers. He then invited him to come down the studios anytime, he would set him up a place to stay and he could bring a few friends. Well the lawyer friend thought yeah, yeah, yeah, that will never happen, but he still sent them a box of his cigars. To his surprize he received a fax right away asking him to reply and let him know asap when he would like to come, as he didn't want to get too busy and nothing come out of it. So he got to go get the royal treatment down there all because he smoked a good cigar! So you never know?

But 150 bucks a pop is just indecent?

Hugs

Wendy,

I don't recall the current exchange rate, but that sounds a lot worse than indecent. To me, it sounds downright vulgar. LOL.

Hugs,
Wayne
