article about adrenals and autoimmune

Post by Gabes-Apg »

this is one of the main reasons i have acupuncture - to keep my adrenals happy and optimised

For this reason, healthy adrenal function can play an important role in moderating the symptom picture of autoimmune disease, allergies and many digestive tract problems. When the adrenals are fatigued, they are less likely to produce enough cortisol to adequately counteract the inflammatory reactions, allowing symptoms to continue unchecked.

it goes on to mention
"There is a tremendous amount we can do to naturally balance the effects of stress on our bodies and compensate for stressful life events and stressful lifestyles," said Dr. Wilson.

can this be? no mention of drugs or meds? am i dreaming???

I believe that this topic is much more important to our overall well-being, than we realize, and most doctors tend to pretty much ignore it, since it can be a pretty complex relationship.

Thanks,

Tex
couldnt agree more, looking at the conversations on this thread and the whole of body symptoms people feel at varying stages (during flare, post flare etc)

it affects all of us in different ways,

It is good to see some creditable statements about naturally supporting the body.....
