Medication confession

If you've slipped on your diet, or you forgot to take your meds, or whatever, and you would like to just "get it off your chest" and move on, this is the place for it. We all stumble once in a while.

Medication confession

Post by natythingycolbery »

Man, I can't believe I am confessiong to this, but I'm hoping it will spur me into action.

- I keep missing doses of my Pentasa, and their are only two reasons I can come up with as to why.... Firstly, the tablets always get stuck in my throat (even when I cut them in half) and secondly Part of me still doesnt see the need for them.

The second part I think comes from the whole fact that medication caused this illness in me, but I also think I have a fear of OD'ing because I've tried to OD several times in the past. And that I can be wreckless with my health at times.

I'm hoping that by telling you all, it might cause me to start taking this illness a little more seriously than the current 'blah' attitude i have, and make me realise that I need to control this illness!

It is really annoying being naturally self destructive when the going gets tough.

Dear Naty

By posting you have already made the first move. You are in charge. Take control of looking after your body and it will look after you in return.

Best, ant

Naty,

We are here to pick you up when you're feeling down. All of us have up and down days, so we understand.

Hey,

I was doing better with them, till I came back to uni (on the 21st) then I had a few days where it really did slip my mind again, but I solved this issue with a notice board on my door saying 'TAKE YOUR MEDS' so am doing better now :D But i'm cutting down from 4g to 2g a day from the 9th now :)

put a reminder in your mobile phone calendar - you can set up repeats for daily reminders.....

My phone is currently having a bit of a hissy fit where it keeps switching itself off for no good reason, so putting reminders on may not help. I need a new one but my student status doesn't approve!

Good For You Naty.

Keeping on schedule can be hard when you are at uni but keep at it and you will be feeling better.
