My 15 year old granddaughter, Sara, is staying with us during the week for 2 weeks. She's working in her Mom's store cleaning and stocking shelves. Poor kid - first day on the job and she started her period. Her Mom said she did really well and is proud of her.
We decided it would be easier for her to stay with us because we only live a few blocks from the store and they live in a neighbouring town about 3/4 hr. drive from the store, so we get Sara. She is a craft nut like me, so we're having fun. We're taking her for a picnic by the lake tonight and then I'm going to spend some time with her tonight helping her learn how to get organized. She spent an hour in the bathroom this morning so didn't have time to eat breakfast or pack a lunch. Well, it's all a learning process. So neat to see her experiencing this, and so glad we can help. It will make for some nice memories.
Anyway, she's having a nap and I think I'll do the same.
Talk to you all later - Love - Momster

Hi Momster! It sounds as if you are enjoying the grand daughter. I can't wait to see my little scooter boy this weekend. He is 7 months old on the 8th and is trying to walk. Doctor says he's a very Bright Baby. Have fun with the granddaughter, have a great weekend. Love Oma
May I be more compassionate and loving than yeterday*and be able to spot the idiots in advance
Momster,
I'm looking forward to grandchildren someday.
I'd say an hour in the bathroom for a 15 year old girl is brief! My 19 year old still takes well over an hour to get ready, even if we're going to the grocery store. Drives me nuts. I'm the 5 minute type. If I try to hurry her, it seems to take longer. At least her older sister is gone and I don't have to listen to them fight over the bathroom. LOL
Enjoy your granddaughter. Love, Jean
