I've been on questran for a little over a week now, and for the past 3 days I've had a relentless headache. Lots of pressure in my ears and temples, and a vice like headache.
Is this a common symptom with questran?
Did questran cause you to have headaches?

It's a listed side effect, but it's not common. If the headache is that persistent, you may be allergic to something in the medication.
Questran interacts with many other medications. Are you taking any other medications?
Also, it interferes with normal fat digestion and absorption, which means that it may prevent the proper absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, such as A, D, E and K. The reason why I bring this up, is because a deficiency of either vitamin D, or some of the B vitamins, (and possibly others), can cause a chronic headache. If you're going to take Questran, be sure that you're taking a good multivitamin that includes the "B" vitamins, and it would probably be a good idea to take an additional vitamin D3 supplement, and use a sublingual lozenge that includes both B-12 and folic acid. Be sure to take the vitamins, (or any other medications), at least one hour before, or 4 to 6 hours after taking Questran.
IMO, there's a good chance that you may have been low on one or more of these vitamins to begin with, and the Questran promptly caused a critical shortage, but that's just a guess, and remember that I'm not a doctor.
The most common side effect of Questran is constipation, of course, and a headache is often a side effect of constipation. In a few cases, questran has caused life-threatening blockage issues, so if that might be the problem, please don't let it go too far, because the drug has led to a couple of pediatric deaths, because of the constipation/blockage issue.
I hope you can find the cause, and resolve it soon, headaches really suck.

Have you made diet changes? Ie removed any foods or ingredients?
this type of headache is similar to the ones i used to get if i was doing a detox.
I took questran in the beginning. I found it made me a bit dehyradrated so i would drink about 500mls of water before i went to bed.
In another post i think rich mentions to also clean your teeth as it is like acid to enamal
and as tex enquired are you taking any other medications? when my GI specialist prescribed the questran and gave me the times to take it, it was the pharmacists that informed me that you cant have other meds within 4 hours before the questran or for 6 hours after as it impacts on their absorbtion.
I would try to take any meds by 5pm each day, have the questran at 9pm
generally this meant that i would do a semi norman first up in the morning.

Luckily the doc did warm me about waiting 4 hours for taking my other meds. I've had daily headaches for a few years now, but it has gotten worse since taking the questran. Maybe it is a vitamin defiency? But it seems every time I try to take vitamins I get the worse nausea. Can't win for losing, grr
and hope they go away soon
