thank you all so much for your very nice replies, kind words, I appreciate it so much. It seems that the antibiotics didn't do much harm to my bowel. Sometimes I do have more frequent bowel movements, but as I can feel it in my tommy, that is due nerves, stress, dealing with new situations. I always call it "going to the dentist feeling" or "going to hospital for an operation feeling".

I think I have found a new place for the rest of my first stay here, with no upstairs neighbours, since that apartment is empty (the reason to move is noisy upstairs neighbours). Going to take a closer look this afternoon. Also I am making some progress in finding a job here. I got in touch with a university professor here who need somebody with English language skills. I got his phone number, thanks to a very nice American lady I met at a party of mutual friend. It's amazing how things can go sometimes. Although it took me a week, before I had the courage to call him. After the calling things go the "Arabic way". He asked me if I was free that evening and wanted to join him and a couple of his friends to a performance of singing/tap-dancing organized by the American Embassy (YES OF COURSE!!!!). Had to be ready in 20 minutes, was picked up close to my home (with 5 or 6 phone calls in between). The performance was excellent, great, the best. That is one of those things in live that makes live worth living, the unexpected things. If my language skills are good enough I don't know yet, seems that is mainly writing (well I can express myself in English quite well I think, especially when it comes to MC issues :-))) but don't think I will show this to him to prove I can write in English). But will see. At the moment I am more interested in doing some things here and there (I don't even have to paid for it), get to know more people, get familiar with work culture here, and explore my options.

Also yesterday I went to a gathering of the Dutch in Amman. Well, for sure, I won't find my friends there, not because they are Dutch of course, but it is a certain crowd. The typical very well paid living abroad foreigners. Conversation of topics I couldn't join (oh I listen and yes/no and laugh but can't contribute), safari's to Africa, kentia/Tanzania/south Africa (where people have been, well the middle east is my only exotic destination till now), flying to Dubai for a short visit and coming up with things as the sushi in an expensive restaurant here is better (or worse) than in one or the other place in Dubai (or one of those other gulf countries) blablablabladibla. It's fun to observe, but for sure not my world and never will be.

You are so right........ It is fun to observe and learn........ sometimes laughing behind our "mask".

I'm so glad things are falling into place for you and you are gaining experience all the time.

I hope the new apartment works out and that you will get hired for the new job. If you have any questions about English, you can always ask us here. Your English is pretty good, IMO.
