Me, too, actually, Shirley. I am just now trying to change my avatar to picture of me and my horse! BTW I have always wanted to point out that you and I have the same genetic makeup with regard to the DQ1
I am:
HLA-DQB1 Molecular analysis, Allele 1 0202

HLA-DQB1 Molecular analysis, Allele 2 0301

Serologic equivalent: HLA-DQ 2,3 (Subtype 2,7)
and so are you. Not too many of us ( 1 other I think...)
So much for the theory that it may translate into same intolerances though.. for you it is soy and gluten and for me it's casein, corn and gluten. Oh well!

I am not having much luck with that.. it comes up but is about the size of a postage stamp and if I make it bigger, the site won't accept it. It wil have to wait until tonight, I guess...I have to get to work!!!

Linda,

If you want a relatively large avatar, you can, for example, size it to 2 inches, (maximum dimension in either direction), but make sure that neither dimension exceeds 80 pixels, and the total image file size does not exceed 6 KB. Computers, as you are well aware, can be very unforgiving.

If it refuses to cooperate, feel free to e-mail me the photo, (in a large-enough file size that I have plenty of detail available to work with - it's easy to downsize an image, but impractical to upsize one, due to loss of quality), and I'll be happy to modify it, and upload it, and force the system to accept it.

I can, of course, increase the allowable file size for all avatars, if enough people want to do that, but I can't change it for individual avatars. The downside is that doing so would significantly increase the bandwidth used by this board, and slow down loading times for everyone, especially those with a slow connection. I'm always open to making changes, though, if it's for a popular cause.

Happy First Year Harma!

Now that your post has informed me of how to earn a star and more penguins, I am especially focused on earning a bright shiny start for me in a year as well. But I only want the star if I have achieved consistent Normans.

Tex, perhaps we need a Norman star too? :)

Regardless, happy anniversary and good health for you in the following year. Keep the interesting posts coming.

Rich,

Hmmmmmmmmm. That's a thought. Maybe we need some sort of indicator of whether or not we're in remission, back at square one, or somewhere in between. Of course, the system couldn't assign that status automatically, (since it can't read our minds, or peek in our toilet bowls ), so that would have to be selected manually.

I'll mull that over. :headscratch:

Thanks,
Tex

Gee, I hope not, if I'm envisioning the meaning of "poo cam" correctly.

I suppose we could combine all the best episodes, and after a little editing, to create the illusion of waves rolling onto the "beach", we could release it on youtube as a modern version of "Moon Over Miami".

nice picture Linda, is that your horse? I used to have a pony while living with my parents (over 20 years ago) I was raised on a farm, so a horse was just another animal on the farm. In future (here I hope) I hope to go back horse riding again.

Yes, Harma, that's my horse, and my dog in the corner of the picture ( hard to tell it is a dog.)

We live on a farm but don't have any other animals. We take our horses out into the mountains. It's a good way to travel ( beats hiking! )

Are there many horses in Jordan? I know in some Arabic cultures the horse plays an important role and they sure breed beautiful ones!

i hope you get to go riding there, too!
