Weekend Plans
Well, in case I get tied up at work, I'm off for the weekend. Flying solo to the White Mountains to meet up with friends from Boston (core group of college friends) for our annual Games Weekend. We have a tournament and at the end of teh weekend announce the winner based on placement in 5 "official" games. Other games also occur too. We have a trophy and everything, which has enough plaque locations that we can go for 40 years (we are on year 6). We figure by then it will be games week and our children will be winning.
Well, I've got to finish packing and get myself on the road for a meeting up in Burlington this morning. Its a 2 hour drive. Fun fun.

Hi Katy!
What kind of games? I hope they are indoor board games with this hot spell! Have a great time! YAY - a mini-vacation - no kids, no cooking, no weeding, no paternalistic clients! We expect you to win the trophy, of course!
Love,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
Good for you Kait. Thats the part I missed out on, not going to College. My parents thought girls didn't need schooling, you just got married. But they did not encourage it for any of my siblings either. So when I was 27/28 yrs old, I went back to school, and graduated with honours. That started a sibling thing and one by one they all went back to school and all have graduated with honours too. My baby brother, having to change careers at 40, just graduated this last June. And most of us did get some College Education later on, but it is never the same as when you are young and ready to challenge the world. Now I am just happy that my girls both have gone on to further their education, mostly because I preached it from the time they could walk! For some reason it is the friends that you meet in College or University that become life long friends, no matter where you go in the world. You are proving that. Good for you and have fun, don't break anything either.
Bye, see you when you get back.
Wendy
