You know, it's interesting - it can take months sometimes, just to get an appointment with a GI doc, but the surgeons are always ready to go, on a moment's notice. I've had surgery only twice in my life, but both times, the surgeons were ready to go, almost immediately. The biggest holdup was me making up my mind, the first time, (which took 2 or 3 hours, before I signed on the dotted line), and the second time, the only delay was the time required for the intensive care nurses, and the surgical team to prep me for the surgery. Surgeons don't mess around - they get the job done.Shirley wrote:Wow, that did seem fast (probably not when you are living it though).

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Louis, as well, I have been following this post. Your sister deserves some relief; this disease can wear you down physically and mentally. She is a very strong person and what a great brother! God's blessing on both of you! Ginny
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change those things I can, and WISDOM to know the difference
