Well silly me - I always thought that they were intimately linked, (IOW, adrenal fatigue results in adrenal insufficency, and vice versa).

These sentences gave me a good laugh:
Doctors are concerned that if you are told you have this condition, the real cause of your symptoms may not be found and treated correctly.
I would venture to guess that the main reason why so many people end up with an "adrenal fatigue" diagnosis, from a health care practitioner other than an MD, is because their MD was unable to find the cause of their problems, or he or she never made a reasonable effort to find the problem, and simply waved off the symptoms as "all in your head".
Also, treatment for adrenal fatigue may be expensive, since insurance companies are unlikely to cover the costs.
So when did medical treatment suddenly become more economical than "alternative" treatments? Apparently they must think that insurance is free of cost. One reason why so many people seek out alternative medical care in the first place, is because they can't afford the conventional route. Another reason is because they are trying to find a doctor who will actually listen to them.

That article leaves the impression that they must be hurting for business, because the competition is eating their lunch. Are they really concerned about the patients who are passing them by, or are they concerned about their own bottom line?

Haven't we also heard that leaky gut and gluten sensitivty didn't exist????? Many doctors spout off quite confidently what something isn't even when they don't know what it is. I have to admit I used to be like that because my training was very conservative  but I now listen to my clients with a more open mind and figure I could learn something from them.

IMO - the conditions that have great results with with diet and natural therapy treatments rather than medication are the conditions the medical profession tend to disregard.......

if there is no magic drug, then there is no potential income for the medical industry therefore the condition doesnt exist........

They go much farther than disregarding them - they go out of their way to discredit them.

Tes,

You are 100% on target with your observations. Just cannot understand why such studies are eating up the $$ they are with little to no decent results. The more that I deal with the medical commuity the more I tend to sway to alternatives.
