Hi Everyone

Post by Momster »

Hi All:

I hope you're having a nice weekend. I've been busy with rearranging my house, spending time with my granddaughter, Sara, sewing, crocheting and beading. Sara is staying with us during the week and going home on the weekends for three weeks. We live near her Mom's store and Sara is working there from Monday to Friday and because we live near the store, she's bunking in with us. She's working 7am - 3pm and then we spend time together doing crafts, etc, (when she isn't in the bathroom - what do teenagers do in the bathroom for hours at a time - guess I forgot what I did at that age, but it didn't seem like I spent that much time in there - thank goodness we have a second bathroom).
Anyway, she's a sweet kid and it's fun to have her around because we don't see much of her or her brother - both busy with school and friends.
She loves crafts like me and takes to beading jewellery like a duck to water and since I've been learning to sew, she's getting interested in that too. She says she may invest in a sewing machine with some of her money that she earn. Yesterday on our way home from picking her up from work we stopped off snd she bought two patterns and some material for us to work on together.
I just got a serger and am having fun learning that - sure make working on t-shirt material and knits easier. Today I had to thread one thread - that was an experience to remember, but I managed to get it done and am back at it.
About to go out into the cool evening for a little spin on my scooter. It was a pretty hot day - not by some standards, like what you Texans, etc. have to live with, but about 34 celcius, which translates into about 98 farenheit ( think the formula is to double it and add 30 - gives an approximate).

Anyway, enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I'm peeking in to see what's happening, but not posting.

I'm thinking about all of you - take care - Momster

With all that has plagued U---U are such an inspiration to me--
your crafting/beading/sewing and just your get up and *DO* makes me feel like such a slouch(which indeed I am)---
Trying to figure out what I can do---and so far I find that Iam not an artistic person----

Lazy as a butterfly just sitting on a flower---but they are soon to take flight~~~~

Perhaps one day(and I hope its soon) I might find what will be my forte--

Take care---and I always know U enjoy your family and life---
luv Barbara

We are too, our weather is great so we are outside basking in the sunshine and doing home projects.

I'm like you Babs, all the talent in our family went somewhere else - not to me. I have yet to find my forte as well.

Momster you're bang on with the formula - double and add 30. The weather is wonderful :sun: and I'm loving it. I have to be careful not to burn...I like the sun much more that it likes me

Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

But Barbara and Peg,

The :butterfly: does the most goodest of all. It gives INSPIRATION. So just sit there and flutter your wings and look beautiful.

I know, pretty mushy, but true!!!

Love,

Sally
