Kim,

I'm so sorry that you've lost a daughter. I can't imagine anything worse than losing a child. For sure the stress of losing someone (or something, such as a pet) you love can aggravate or initiate MC.

Hi Kim,

I'm so very sorry that you were faced with such a devastating loss. I have to agree with your friend that severe, long-term stress of that type, (stress over which you had no control), probably was a major factor in the development of both your thyroid disease, and your MC.

Iron supplements can certainly cause various unpleasant gastrointestinal side effects, including nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, dark colored stools, and an upset stomach. Some pharmacists suggest that taking iron in the form of Ferrous Gluconate may cause fewer symptoms, and it seems to be milder on the stomach. Sometimes, starting with half the recommended dose, and gradually increasing it, to work up to the full dose, can help to minimize side effects. Also, it may help to take iron supplements on a full stomach, instead of an empty stomach. To determine the dose, look for the elemental iron content, (not the total iron content), since only the elemental iron content is the actual iron portion of the compound that can be utilized.

I hope this will be helpful.

From personal experience no, but there are a lot of different side effects
