Debontl!! I saw that this was your first post. This is a wonderful place to learn how to control and live with this disease, and also some about other associated autoimmune stuff. Kudos to you on weaning off Endocort.

Humira
Thanks everyone for your prayers for my friend's granddaughter. They had to smash windows and cut her out of the car, but luckily she had her seatbelt on or she would have been killed. The car flipped several times and landed on the roof. I really suspect she may have been driving a little too fast for conditions, and being 17, she is an inexperienced driver. It was a backroad, but luckily someone must have driven past and saw the car and called 911. She regained consciousness at Hershey Med Center's ER. She has a concussion and some bruising from the seat belt, and some hip pain, but is doing well and is now at home. Thanks again for your prayers. You are all so kind and thoughtful.

Morning Mary,
Guess I have not welcomed you yet since I was away but please know that I am glad you are here.
So sorry to hear of the accident and am glad that the young girl is in Hershey Medical - a wonderful healthcare facility in my opinion. Do not live too far from there.
Maggie

Humira and my friend
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers for my friend's granddaughter. I will wear my seatbelt at all times now. By the way, I am feeling excellent on my Humira. I have had, in the past, very fast pulse and increased blood pressure at doctor's visits. I always attributed it to my severe "white coat syndrome" - I am so fearful of doctors. Yesterday I had an injection of Synvisc in my knee for some osteoarthritis. I was feeling totally pain free except for a little pain in my knee. My heart rate was only 68! Turns out the constant pain of the inflammatory arthritis was causing heart rate and blood pressure to be elevated. I guess pain does that to people. No wonder I was exhausted all the time! Has anyone else experienced this with pain, either from belly issues or other types of pain? I am so lucky to have found a wonderful rheumatologist and gastroenterologist.
Maggie, thanks for the welcome. I live near Hershey Med Center also! Wouldn't it be funny if we were neighbors!
