Gurgling

Post by lisa15601 »

Is it just me, or did anyone get or has pelvic gurgling. Or like a feeling of gurgling in the pelvic area. Hope that doesn't sound weird[/code]

Just wanted to say that it would have to be worse than that to sound weird on this site.

I'm sorry, I don't have a comment on the gurgling. I haven't experienced it, but quite possibly someone on the site has.

Before I started treatment, I had gurgling in every part of the gut. It seems to be a typical reaction to untreated MC.

Best, ant

You certainly can. Just click the PM button at the bottom of one of my posts and that should take care of it. JoAnn

Lisa, I went back and read your first post. I'm sorry you've had to go through so much, but don't feel alone. Many of us have similar stories before we finally found this board. Trying to maneuver through the medical world with all this can be a nightmare when no one seems to understand what you've got and how to treat it. It caused me great anxiety. For some reason, you remind me of my daughter. She's had some struggles with polycystic ovarian syndrome and has not been able to get pregnant. I also suspect she's gluten intolerant and am pushing her to get tested. I hope you can think if me as another "Mom" and friend in your life and know that I care about you and how you're doing. Love JoAnn

Hi Lisa, I hope you are doing better. The heating pad idea is a great one. I always have one next to the bed. Whenever there is the dreaded gurgling, the cramping is not far behind

gurgling

Post by Grannygoo »

Lisa,
I'm haven't been on here long, but have already gotten soooo much info in dealing with this disease, (if you can call it a disease), but anyway, about the gurgling, before I was diagnosed and treated, I had gurgling really often, and dreaded going anywhere where it was in a quiet atmosphere because it was so loud. When laying down, if I laid on my right side, it would just go glug!glug! glug! and when I would turn over to the other side, it would do the same thing and was really loud, sometimes I even stayed home from church if it was really bad, because of the noise it made, but it is better now, still have occasionally, when I have a flare.

Hi Lisa - yes gurgling is certainly the norm with MC - when I'm reacting, it sounds like a full orchestra is playing in my gut :).

Joe, guess I missed the heating pad discussion, but, coincidentally, last night I discovered how helpful and soothing a heating pad on the stomach can be. I now have it stationed in my night table drawer for easy access :).

Love,
Kari

Lisa, I always said there was a Monster living in my colon. It gurgled and growled, and rolled and other crazy things.....

I hope you are on Entocort...

Good luck,
karen
