I got an email from her today. She is one very busy gal at work - not even time for a lunch break! - and she's got a court hearing this week with the ex.

Thanks for catching us up on Christine - I too know what it is to be so busy at work that lunch just doesn't happen.

Christine - good luck in court - ex-husbands can real be a lot of :BSFlag:

Thanks for the update Peg. I knew she was promoted and the ex thing going on. I'm glad she is ok.

When you hear from her again, give her my :pulsinghearts:

Hope she gives the :Itchscratch: to the ex! I know he's been giving it to her and the boys!

I sent her a PM after we met and it took her about a week to reply! I think there is so much going on she doesn't have time to be on the 'puter! I think if she has the energy to keep up that pace she must be feeling *OK*...hopefully she'll update us when things calm down!

Hi all! :)

I've been trolling but haven't had much time for posting..

YES I'm SO friggin busy at work these days.. I'm ALWAYS on the computer, just never get much time for looking thru all of the posts and replies or replying myself :( So sad.. but hopefully things will settle down here when we get another person on Clin2.. right now, I'm the only one.

I go to court TOMORROW. The lawyer just called to brief me and I'm SO NERVOUS.

My stomach issues have been on and off. I had a bloody stool one day last week, and have been closely monitoring them since. I've had a little blood in some of them but not all, so I'm not too concerned. It could have been kool aide as I've been drinking a lot of that lately. Otherwise, been feeling ok when I don't cheat on my diet. I've been very stressed lately and the temptation to have some chocolate is VERY GREAT. I better have some Skittles before I REALLY blow it LOL.

I'm sorry I've been so absent lately :( I really wish I could be around here more, especially since now this is our *own* little world of people.. but like I said, hopefully soon I'll have more time!!! and for sure, I'll update you guys on the court after tomorrow!!! Wish me luck!!!!!!! I'm gonna NEED it. My lawyer thinks we have a good case and good chances of winning, so long as Bill doesn't have any surprises up his sleeves and judging by the past, he may have some, but I doubt they're TRUE.

BTW love the Itchy and Scratchy emoticons!!!!!

Christine

Hang in there Christine! We're all there for ya!

When you're in court and get nervous - start naming off all of our names, knowing we are all there with you. If you think that's easy - put them in alphabetical order!!

Are ya laughing yet?

You'll do fine!!!!

Well, it's over, and no biggy.. I guess this is a two-step process. Since the ex ignored the change of venue motions sent to him, they simply took THAT to court.. so this portion could have been avoided, if he would read his mail.

My lawyer talked to his and they agreed to the change of venue. At the last minute they had changed the court from Apple Valley, my old town of residence, to Hastings, 30 miles or so away, same county. And in the WRONG direction from me. So not only did we have to drive an hour to get to Apple Valley, but then an additional 30 minutes to get to Hastings. Traffic wasn't great either, considering summer is road construction season in MN..

So the judge showed at 9:15 and we were out of there about 30 minutes later. The venue has been changed to Carver County (Chaska), where they have a lot better of a system for family court issues like this one, which will be in our favor, as well as court-appointed mediators for child schedule disputes, so when he calls last minute and wants Hunter, I can call the mediator and we can all 3 have a conversation about it. This documents each issue and works it out for us. I guess in Dakota County, where we were today, they don't provide those, and it would be $5K to hire one. So this is good. But Carver County is busier, so it's going to be awhile till the case goes to court again. So the waiting and wondering begins again.. *sigh*

Anyway, was thinking of working a few hours from home this afternoon, then decided not to :) I'll continue to make up for lost time on my lunchhours, I guess.. today I just wanna relax :)

Hopefully this is a step in the right direction. Glad you were able to relax this afternoon. Hang in there. Good things come to those who are patient. (Easy for me to say, huh.)
